About the game
Wasteland Escape is a side-scrolling survival run set in a post-apocalyptic desert. You control a runner in a gas mask and a red scarf, with the skyline of a ruined city behind you, a huge red sun on the horizon and a sandstorm closing in on your heels. Tap or press space to jump, and hold it to leap higher and farther. Rocks, rusty fuel barrels, concrete barricades and burnt car wrecks that are still smoking block your path. Hunter drones with red scanning lasers patrol the air: jump over the low ones and swipe down to slide under the ones flying at mid height, kicking up sand as you go. Clearing every obstacle cleanly grows your streak multiplier, scraping past by inches gives a near miss bonus, and on certain streaks time slows down for a moment. Cyan energy cells floating above the obstacles give extra points. Under a sky that turns from sunset to night and back to dawn, your speed keeps climbing and obstacles arrive in clusters.
