About the game

8-Ball Pool Online is a billiards game played on a blue-cloth tournament table with wooden rails in a neon-lit lounge. The balls follow real physics: they collide elastically, bounce off the cushions and slide on the cloth before they start rolling and slow down. The pockets have real jaws, so a ball sent along the rail can rattle off the jaw and stay out. Hit the cue ball high for follow and it runs on after the object ball, hit it low for draw and it spins back, while left or right english changes the rebound angle off a cushion. The aim guide shows the first ball you will contact as a ghost ball and previews the paths of the object ball and the cue ball. The rules are standard 8-ball rules: after the break the table is open, and the first ball you pocket decides whether you take the solids (1-7) or the stripes (9-15). You must hit one of your own balls first; pocketing the cue ball, hitting the wrong ball first or failing to drive any ball to a rail is a foul and gives your opponent ball in hand. Clear your group and pocket the 8-ball to win, but sink the 8 early and you lose. In the career mode against the computer, every frame you win flows straight into the next level, where the opponent aims better, plans position and your guide line gets shorter. Two players can share one device, or you can invite a friend with a room code or link and play online from different devices. No friend around? Find a world opponent and get matched instantly. FAQ

Can I play 8-ball pool online with a friend?

Yes. Press Play, choose Play with a friend → Create room and send the 5-letter code or invite link. Your friend joins from their own phone or computer with Join with code and you take turns on the same table. No friend around? Use Find a world opponent.

How do I put spin on the cue ball?

Tap the cue ball icon at the top right and move the red dot. High makes the cue ball follow the object ball, low draws it back and left or right changes the angle off a cushion. The blue line in the aim guide shows where the cue ball will go.

What counts as a foul?

Pocketing the cue ball, hitting no ball, hitting an opponent's ball first (or the 8 first on an open table) and sending no ball to a rail after contact are fouls. After a foul your opponent places the cue ball anywhere. Sinking the 8 early or with a foul loses the game.

Is the game free?

Yes, it is free and runs in your browser on phone, tablet and computer with no download or sign-up.
