About the game
Chess is the world's classic strategy game, where two players try to checkmate the opposing king on a sixty-four square board, and this version applies every rule: castling, en passant, pawn promotion, check, checkmate and stalemate, threefold repetition, the fifty-move rule and draws by insufficient material. The pieces are drawn in the classic Staunton style and stay sharp even on a phone; on the dark neon board legal moves appear as dots, and the last move and a checked king light up. You can drag a piece or tap it and then tap the target square; the move list uses standard algebraic notation, and captured pieces plus the material balance show in each player's panel. In Career mode you climb an eight-level ladder against the computer: the Novice level blunders now and then, while the Master level uses our own alpha-beta engine to look more than ten moves ahead in a few seconds and plays at roughly 1800 strength. Every win starts the next level automatically, a loss lets you retry the same level, and your rating updates after each game. Free play lets you pick the level and your color, with undo and board flip always at hand. The daily puzzle gives you an engine-verified checkmate problem and tracks your solving streak. Online you can play a friend with a room code or invite link, a random opponent from anywhere in the world, or someone next to you on the same device, with 3+2, 5+0 or 10+0 clocks; draw offers, resignation and rematches are supported, and there is no chat.
How to play
- Pick a mode from the main menu: Career (vs the computer), Online (a friend, a world opponent or the same device), Daily Puzzle or Free Play.
- Tap a piece to see dots for its legal moves, then tap a target square or drag and drop the piece. When a pawn reaches the last rank, choose a queen, knight, rook or bishop.
- To castle, move the king two squares sideways; en passant and every other rule are applied automatically.
- In Career a win starts the next, stronger level at once; after a loss Play Again opens the same level.
- In an online game watch your clock, offer a draw or resign if you like, and press Rematch when the game ends.
