About the game
Ball Storm is a turn-based block breaker where plasma balls fired from an industrial launcher ricochet off steel walls and numbered armor plates. Drag your finger and a cyan targeting line shows where the shot will travel; let go and your whole volley of glowing plasma cores launches one after another, each leaving a bright energy trail. Every plate shows its armor value and every hit lowers it by one. Plates change color with their armor: cyan shielded plates are the toughest, heated orange plates sit in the middle, and bare gunmetal plates are close to breaking. Cracks spread across the surface as damage builds, and a plate that reaches zero bursts into sparks, smoke and metal shards, while big chains shake the screen and freeze the action for a split second. Green plasma cells add a ball for the next round, the laser emitter wipes out an entire row, the orange overcharge icon doubles your next volley, and hazard-striped power cores grant two extra plasma balls. Each round the plates drop one row and a new, thicker row appears at the top. In HARDCORE mode armor is fifty percent thicker, rows are denser and a double drop hits every eight rounds, but every point you earn counts twice, and the mode keeps its own best round and best score. A new plasma color unlocks every ten rounds. It plays free on phone, tablet and computer with no download.
How to play
- Pick NORMAL or HARDCORE mode at the start.
- Drag your finger upward to aim and follow the cyan targeting line.
- Release and every plasma ball launches in turn, bouncing off the armor plates.
- Collect plasma cells to add balls, and grab the laser and overcharge icons.
- Plates drop one row each round, so shred them before they reach the floor.
Controls
Touch: tap a mode panel; drag your finger to aim and release to fire; once a round passes 2 seconds, tap the fast forward button at the bottom right. Keyboard: choose the mode with 1/2 or the Up/Down arrows and Enter; adjust the angle with the Left/Right arrows or A/D, fire with Space, Enter or the Up arrow, speed up a volley with Space or F, and switch plasma color with B. P: pause.
