Find the mines on a tactical display, mark the suspects and clear the field before the fuse burns out!
About the game
Minesweeper takes the classic logic game onto the tactical display of a military bomb squad. The field is a grid of armour plates, and under each plate there is either bare ground or a hidden mine. Open a square and a coloured LED digit tells you how many mines lie in the eight squares around it. Combine the numbers to work out where the mines are, and long press a suspicious square to plant a red warning marker. Your first square is always safe. Step on a mine and it goes off with a fireball, a shockwave, flying debris and smoke, and then every other mine on the field detonates in a chain reaction. Fast safe reveals build a streak multiplier, and clearing a big area in one go earns a SECTOR CLEAR bonus. In Classic you pick a small, medium or large field and play with no time limit. In Time Attack a fuse burns for one hundred and fifty seconds, and when it runs out every mine blows. Hard mode packs forty eight mines into a twelve by sixteen field. Your best scores are ranked in the menu next to clearly labelled BOT rivals. No people get hurt, it is all logic and nerve. Play free in your browser, no download.

The number on a square shows how many mines are hidden in the eight squares touching it.

Classic has no timer and a choice of field sizes, Time Attack adds a one hundred and fifty second fuse, and Hard uses a bigger, denser field with a fuse.
Can I hit a mine on my first tap?
No, mines are placed after your first tap, so the first square and its neighbours are always safe.
